🎃 Halloween Sokker – 2 Player Game

Halloween Sokker is a 2D top-down soccer game made as a class project for our Game Scripting course. Built in October, we decided to give it a fun Halloween twist — spooky colors, a stylized field, and head-to-head action!

This is a local 2-player-only game — so grab a friend and compete to see who rules the Halloween pitch!

⚽ How to Play

Player 1 Controls:
W = Up
A = Left
S = Down
D = Right
Player 2 Controls:
Arrow Keys (↑ ↓ ← →) to move
ESC to quit at any time
First to score the most goals before the timer ends wins!

📚 About the Project

This game was created as part of a Game Scripting class project using Pygame. The assignment challenged us to design and code a full game loop, including physics, collision, UI, and gameplay logic. We chose to build a soccer game with a seasonal Halloween vibe.

💾 How to Install & Play

Download the ZIP file from this page.
Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer:
- Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and choose "Extract All..." or use your preferred zip extractor (like WinRAR or 7-Zip).
Inside the extracted folder, you'll find:
- main.exe – the game launcher
- assets/ – the folder containing game images, sounds, and other resources
Double-click main.exe to start the game.
If Windows shows a warning like "Windows protected your PC," click "More info" > "Run anyway".
(This happens with unsigned apps — it’s safe to run if you trust the source.)

🕹️ Controls

Player 1 – Use W, A, S, D to move
Player 2 – Use Arrow Keys ↑, ↓, ←, → to move
ESC – Quit the game

🎃 Reminder

This is a local 2-player game – make sure you have a second player with you!
No installation required beyond extracting the folder – just double-click and play!
